Albion’s youngsters were narrowly beaten by Everton at home in the Premier League Cup on Saturday.
Following a goalless first period, the Toffees managed to edge ahead when they converted a penalty inside the opening ten minutes of the restart.
The away side then scored a second to double their advantage.
Albion pulled one goal back with just over five minutes remaining. Divine Onyemachi’s smart strike from close range gave Leigh Downing’s boys hope, however they were unable to find a leveller as Everton travelled home with all three group stage points.
ALBION: Brady, Nelson, Morrish, Sumnall, Maughan (Cherchi), Mfuamba, Mandey (Deeming), Whitwell, Kirton (Sule), Walker, Bostock (Onyemachi).
