Adam Letlat in action for Albion u18s at The Hawthorns in the home kit

Albion's U18 side were beaten 4-2 at home by Chelsea in the U18 Premier League South division on Saturday lunchtime.

Ryan Colesby put the hosts 1-0 up after 29 minutes but Chizaram Ezenwata equalised for the visitors before the break.

Yahya Idrissi gave Chelsea a 2-1 lead in the early part of the second period, however Leigh Downing's group hit back and drew level through Jaiden Francis-Caesar shortly before the hour.

The Baggies were unable to hang on to an eye-catching point though. Strikes from Ryan Kavuma McQueen and Sol Gordon inside the final 22 minutes meant the away team left with the spoils.

ALBION: Brady, Abudu (Asomugha), Morrish (Okorodudu), Shaw, Letlat, Cherchi, Gompe, Blackshields, Parmar, Colesby, Francis-Caesar (French).

Subs: Moses (GK), Seven-Seven.
