Albion Under-18s suffered late heartbreak in the capital following a narrow defeat to Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

Divine Onyemachi helped them restore parity, not once, but twice - levelling in the 67th minute to cancel out Dan Casey's first-half opener for the Gunners, and although Andre Harriman-Annous restored their advantage, the Baggies' talisman showed calmness in stoppage time to convert a late penalty kick.

The forward's strike from the spot - which brought with it a dismissal for defender Brayden Clarke for a second bookable offence - looked to have helped Leigh Downing's men claim a point on their travels at 2-2.

But a lapse in concentration saw Arsenal score a timely goal of their own - Louis Zecevic-John converting with virtually the last kick of the game to keep the points in London Colney.

Albion 18s are next in action when they host Brighton at their Walsall HQ on Saturday, February 15 (ko 11am).

Albion: Brady, Maughan, Morrish, Dupont, G.Shaw, Cherchi (Francis-Caesar 71), Gompe, Blackshields, Trialist (Okorodudu 61), French (Ranger 81).

Red card: Brayden Clarke (Arsenal)
