A young Albion U18 side were beaten 5-1 by Brighton on Saturday.
The hosts were two goals up at the break thanks to strikes from Shane Nti at the very start of the half and Layth Gulzar at the very end of it.
Nehemiah Oriola made it 3-0 in the middle of the second period, with Tyler Silsby adding a fourth 15 minutes from the conclusion.
Divine Onyemachi pulled a goal back for the Baggies inside the final stages, but the Seagulls scored a fifth right at the end.
Leigh Downing’s youngsters are back in action next weekend, hosting West Ham United.
