Albion’s U18 side suffered a 4-1 defeat down at Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues raced into a three-goal lead inside the opening 37 minutes, but Divine Onyemachi did manage to pull one back before the interval.
Chelsea went on to grab a fourth goal from the penalty spot in the 71st minute though, putting an end to the Baggies’ hopes of returning with anything to show for their efforts.
Leigh Downing’s group are back in action on Tuesday night when they travel up to Stoke City for an FA Youth Cup fourth-round tie (ko 7pm).
