Bio

Energetic full-back Ashlee Brown has proved to be a key player for Albion Women since joining in the summer of 2021.

Ash began her career at the Baggies, playing for the Centre of Excellence before continuing her development at Birmingham City. She then made her senior bow for the Blues and represented England at under-18, under-19, and under-20 levels.

Brown moved across the second city in 2016, joining rivals Aston Villa and appearing in the Women’s Super League for the Villains.

She then signed for Championship outfit Coventry United, during the same summer as Baggies midfielder Phoebe Warner, where they played in the second tier.

Brown then joined Albion as former boss Jenny Sugarman’s first addition in 2021 and soon became a pivotal part of the Baggies’ set-up, taking on the role of vice-captain following the appointment of head coach Siobhan Hodgetts-Still at the beginning of 2023/24.

The right-back struggled with a setback in 2023, as she ruptured her ACL, an injury that kept her out for almost nine months. She made her comeback in Albion’s Hawthorns triumph over Huddersfield Town and has remained a key figure since.

Brown will surely look to continue her success as she reaches her fourth season in B71, once again under the stewardship of Hodgetts-Still.
