Bio
Club captain Hannah George is Albion’s longest-serving player and has overseen a vast amount of positive change since joining in 2018.
Born in Worcester, Hannah began her career at Birmingham City before making tracks across the second city to Aston Villa in 2015.
George’s Baggies journey began three years later when she looked for more playing time in the third tier under former boss Louis Sowe.
Albion suffered an untimely relegation along with rivals Wolves but marched straight to promotion in the following season, losing just one game as they bounced back to the FA WNL Northern Premier Division.
Hannah’s leadership qualities were evident throughout that campaign, and she was named captain by Sowe in 2019, a title she’s held to this day.
The Baggies also tasted cup glory in the same year, as they triumphed in the 2019 edition of the FA WNL Plate, beating Liverpool Feds 5-1 with George scoring the fourth goal.
Along with that pivotal strike, George has contributed her fair share of goals and assists, providing a threat from set-pieces whether taking them or being the intended target.
Now into her seventh season at Albion, Hannah will lead the team once again - striving for another positive campaign under boss Siobhan Hodgetts-Still.
