Bio
Alarcón came into Carlos Corberán's coaching team in October 2022.
The Spanish compatriots have a strong relationship having worked together at previous clubs such as Huddersfield Town and Greek giants Olympiacos prior to their move to the Black Country.
Like Baggies boss Corberán, Jorge began his professional career in the game as a fitness coach working for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in 2014 before beginning his coaching work three years later.
Starting at Cypriot outfit Ermis Aradippou, Alarcón returned to his home roots to assist Raul Canéda at Levante UD in their U23s team. Canéda is a man who Albion gaffer Corberán had also worked alongside during spells at Saudi teams Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr.
A spell at Qatari side Umm Salal SC in a similar role followed between 2018-2020, and it would be the final move before Jorge stepped up to bigger challenges with Corberán at Huddersfield, Olympiacos and Albion.
Jorge obtained a PHD in Sports Science during the later years of his education and is currently enjoying his second spell coaching in English football.
