Seasoned midfielder Fran Orthodoxou rejoined the Baggies in August of 2023 and has since made her mark on the squad.

Usually found dictating play from deep in the field, Fran originally signed for Albion from Birmingham City as a youngster and played a pivotal role under Louis Sowe, helping the side to their FA WNL Plate triumph alongside promotion to the fourth tier in 2018/19.

Orthodoxou left to pursue an opportunity at Women’s Championship outfit Coventry United, before coming back to Albion as one of Siobhan Hodgetts-Still’s first additions.

And it didn’t take Fran long to make an impact, she scored her first goal since resigning on the opening day of the campaign in a 3-1 win over Stoke City.

Following that, Orthodoxou would finish the season on eight goals, as she offered a constant threat in both boxes and will be on the hunt for more in 2024/25.
