The Baggies Blind team booked their place in the final after finishing as league runners-up and silver medallists in the Brian Aaron Cup where they were narrowly beaten to the title on penalties by this summer’s opponents – RNC.

Head coach Paul Glover believes his team have made “progress” throughout the season and looks forward to another encounter with their league rivals in season climax.

“We have competed hard with RNC throughout the season,” Glover said. “We narrowly missed out on the league and then got beaten on penalties in the final of The Brian Aarons cup.

“We have a young squad that are supported by a couple of experienced heads. The progress made by the team and the football we have played has been brilliant to see, and we have scored an abundance of goals.

“Injuries have blighted our campaign, but we look forward to the challenge of finishing the season on a high.”

Meanwhile, Albion’s Powerchairs advanced to the competition having beaten fellow Baggies side, Throstles 1-0 in the semi-finals.

They take on Aspire FC, who they drew 2-2 with in their WFA Premier League clash back in December, and have aims of going one better in the all-important final.
