Representatives from West Midlands Safari Park paid The Albion Foundation’s Girls Game Programme players a visit last week, reaffirming their dedication to supporting the development of girl's football in the local area.
West Midlands Safari Park, a visitor attraction based in the West Midlands and home to over 100 species of animal, are the new principal shirt sponsor for the Foundation’s Girls Game Programme.
The Park’s mascot, Eliza the Explorer, joined players and coaches for their media and induction evening at The Hawthorns last week – an appearance that Deputy Director Jonathan Ward was delighted by.
“We’re thrilled that West Midlands Safari Park are to sponsor our Girls Game Programme for the next season,” Ward said. “They’ve been incredible throughout their time as principal partners of The Albion Foundation and contribute greatly to our work within the community.
“Women's and girl’s football is very much on the rise, and we firmly believe that this partnership can help spur our players on to achieve greater things within the game. We’re delighted to confirm this extension of our partnership and look forward to continuing to work together in this area.”
Emerging Talent Centre Strategic Lead Lauren Affron believes the sponsorship will help develop and inspire the players to achieve better.
“We’re really pleased to have West Midlands Safari Park as our headline sponsor for our Girls Games Programme,” Affron said. “This really shows their commitment to supporting our young female players to achieve their potential with us on their football journey.
“Having the sponsor is instrumental in the growth of our female pathway and progression of the game. Alongside their financial support for the programme, we are looking forward to seeing our players attend the safari park with their families and have an enjoyable experience.”
We’d once again like to thank West Midlands Safari Park for their support and place on record our continued thanks for their commitment to this programme.
